Pauli, my nephew, had his third birthday on May, 29th. This
(very important) situation should be celebrated. His sister (Tuuli)
had just then quite nasty ear-infection. So, here are just no
pictures of her. But Pauli, he didn't mind...
From my parents Pauli got a digging
machine. Real fun! This picture has been blurred badly, but the
situation was such: Pauli liked it so much!
Family of Pauli lives here -
in white building, naturally.
Here You can see the family of Pauli: mother
(my sister), Pauli, and father. Now Pauli seems to be more interested
in Momin-video. But no worries: father seems to be interested
in digging machine...
I gave
this pool to him.And he seems to love it, when testing.
The birthday cake is just essential thing. That kid in the
front isn't Pauli. And I'm behind a balloon.
Here Pauli gets the present (a big dragon for swimming) from me. I've gives to him something for swimming.
He got an Indian tiipii-tent from my parents.
His Mika-father did really incredible thing and blew that. And father was alive after that!
Otto (child of my cousin) is in front. And Pauli behind.
Then same thing from another
direction. That thing is intended for use in water. But obviously
that isn't mandatory thing...
Pauli got from me three plastic
boats. I've given to him something, which can be used with swimming.
This is my card!
I used Corel's clip art archive making it. 10000 pictures, one
has to find suitable from there.
My mother giving her presents...
As You can see, there was quite
big crowd (and that means many presents).
Cake, that's really important thing! Blowing all candles from it.
My sister Anna helped Pauli.
Relatives have their party in nearest Sunday (or maybe Saturday). This was May, 28th, 2000. Next day would be the D-day. I was sure, that I would do this page next night. No way, I just have to sleep!
Pauli
got this robot from my parents. And...
Pauli and Tuuli got
one piece of silver set from me. Every birthday, and X-mas.
Pauli got this super-hyper-big
water-gun from me.
Then the main thing of every birthday: blowing the candles.
Yippee, done!
Then eating the cake. This isn't so much fun!
This looks like extremely old joke:
Q: What's common with model railroads and breasts?
A: Both are meant for kids, but dads actually play with them.
Just add "model car track"...
This is actually rather important milestone: next autumn starts school. And he waits it extremely eagerly. Nine years of it. And very probably much more than that.
In this photo, he eats Carelian pie. That's not sweet pie,
no way! It has some kind of rye in the outer layer. And inside
there is rice-porridge. Then quite much butter. Hmm, my explanation
is really quite poor!!
Pauli got this scooter from my parents. It was really great thing: here Pauli tries it with pajama on (he got it, too). Tuuli tested it, too.
But it was really hard thing to assemble. His mother is kindergarten teacher. Father is really highly-educated engineer.
Tuuli had to get at least something. This frog is rather nice toy! Pauli got big inflatable air-mattress (it looks like a cellular phone). They are having a holiday-trip to Rhodes. Extremely good place to use it.
Even Tuuli could fill up that frog. But father must do the air-mattress. And my earlier dinosaur, filling it up is really quite sadistical thing!!
This candle-blowing-ritual is really a must!'
By the way, those strawberries were actually rather good. Usually
those from Finland are good (extremely long day, You see).
I make always birthday cards like this. I use an image library
by Corel. It contains about 10'000 images of vector graphics.
10'000 sounds much. But actually it isn't! Because there were
no pictures of fire-trucks. And only one picture of firefighter.
Pauli got quite many
things! A big fire-truck (though made of plastic) from
me. I try to give something with water. This can really squirt
some!!
Pauli got one "Harry Potter" -book. Maybe he is too small for this big book. But who knows!
Then he got a video of "Harry Potter" -movie. And he seems to enjoy it! I write this page next day and he has watched it several times.
But that film was really too much for Tuuli!
Here are Antti (nephew
of Mika) and Mika (father of Pauli).
Cake is really important
thing! And eight candles is quite manageable amount. It would
remind big torch for me!!
There were really quite many other things, too. At least Pauli (just left from Mika) seems to be really eager.
Especially I liked those not-so-sweet-things. They were really
delicious. Though I could eat those sweet thing, because they
were baked with fructose. And that's just OK for me.
Tuuli
liked that fire-truck, too.
