This day was December 11th, 1999. Nearly all of my relatives in southern Finland were here. My parents had made a trip to Germany. And purchased all typical Xmas things from there. That trip was to Lübeck. There was really big storm!!
14 people here!
This chair is maybe only here. Or maybe (probably) in northern
Europe. When I looked the translation for the word 'laiskanlinna',
the dictionary gave only 'easy chair'. When the translation in
word-to-word basis would be something like lazy-man's-castle.
Anna
and Karin looked after some of kids.
Tuuli liked to draw. And she did it quite spontaneously.
This big (and
yes, it's really huge thing) map-book was really interesting thing!
Mika
helped his kids eating.
Sanna gave something to eat to her kids. Sausages (wienies for kids), potato salad (that goes extremely well with sausages), 'rosolli' (a salad made of beet roots, potatoes (maybe), boiled carrots, apples, sometimes herring, onion, pickled cucumber and dressing to it (whipped cream, vinegar and soured cream colored with beet roots)), sauerkraut (German theme...), pickled cucumbers, and so on.
Dessert. Quite much
of everything. Especially when nearly everything has to be both
with and without (okay that cake is only without) sugar. That
German bun (Stollen) has quite much sugar!
Pauli ate with healthy appetite, too!
He had nasty scratch in his cheek. Got it when falling down with his snowmobile. Using it, when there wasn't actually snow.
Kids
of Heikki and Sanna were taken to theirs god-mother. Night-off
occasionally is extremely healthy thing.
Nilla looked and
looked!
