Now is "the great New Year". Or so. Called millennium. Though that isn't that. Next year!
I got these socks as Christmas present. Every shop-keepers
just love this. Because that that can be used only once.
But I make disappointment to them!
Picture of our fish-plate.
We had the party in Hyrylä. That's very near to Helsinki.
My WWW-page
of this millennium. Or, in fact,
why it isn't! But that text is in Finnish. He is Antti Louko,
very often called 'alo', his computer-name.
Wife
of my friend Pasi Turtiainen was there, too. She is called Arja
Turtiainen. They were extremely festive.
Rather incredible.
That's Katri Murhu. Doing dishes, clothed like that (one
pen-friend said, that this dress was lovely; yes, but I think
that whole thing is rather lovely).
Fireworks were like war this time. And not small war! Of course one has to look it.
But there was awfully cold. Usually I like coldness. But not this much: warmest temperature was 4.1C (=39.3F) (I forgot to reset the thing: this isn't the real thing) and then the cold side -11,6C (=11,1F) (yes, really). That happened because the sky was absolutely clear.
We came in. Because there was really cold. And really good champagne was waiting. I have purchased a bottle of Dom Perignot -champagne (okay, one can buy such in once in thousand years).
And that was really better than Veuve Clicquot -champagne.
Ari
Mujunen opened bottles.
This stuff is called
tin. But why? Because something like 90% is lead.
I got the Finnish version ready, when there was New Yes in Times Square in New York. That was really American type of New Year: very massive. And not very elegant one. My time was 7AM our time. Okay, I went to bed then.
Then comes the New Year Day! I haven't slept much!
New Year Strauss-concert in Vienna. And then ski-jump from Obersdorf. Now I have my dose of ski-jump for an year.
Now it was snowing. Only lightly, but anyway.
