Approximately 10 pieces. That's enough!! We multiplied the recipe by 1.5 which was definitely too much!
First you beat the eggs, then add mineral water (so that the
carbon dioxide in mineral water contributes to raising and fluffiness
of the result). Then flour (mixed with baking powder). Don't forget
salt in this phase: the end result is probably relatively creepy
if you forget salt.. And finally fat. I
don't really know if the flour should be left to soak and puff
up like you do when you make pancakes.
Baking is done with
a waffle griddle (or waffle iron, is it the same thing?). It feels
pretty stupid to buy an electric appliance for a single simple
and small purpose. Such a gadget is actually quite a typical wedding
present (another memorable one is an automatic electric egg cooker).
After a while the
griddle reveals its end result. It makes sense to bear in mind
that the griddle is really hot.
Then you add jam
and whipped cream on top of the waffle: that's it. You can eat
it in a refined way and use a fork and a knife.
Or even better it
is to eat this way.

This
page is a bit old. But there isn't any date! This new is anyway
from July 11th, 2007. You can see, that kids love these waffles.
