Tallinn

I visit Tallinn in nearly every summer. And why not: it's so near to Helsinki. It takes something like two hours. This trip happened on the September 1st, 1999. It happened just after my stay at 'Käpylän kuntoutuskeskus'. Here is a link to my previous trip there. What about next?

Everything started with handicap trip to the harbor. Okay, the handicap was really badly late. And I had to get up so early. I wasn't very happy...

Here is the church of Niguliste. Some of my ancestors are buried there.

I have a sort of seat belt. Because roads of Tallinn are extremely poor!

This was our boat: a catamaran. And at the way back, we learned how small it really was. Because it rocked awfully badly in sea.

Because of my wheelchair, we were escorted in firstly. So we took very best seats. Naturally so!

Passport controllers had quite a dilemma: there were no lift. Only quite hard stairs. Okay, passport controllers could send something like a division of controllers down. And carry me there. Or send one controller down.

We went to a philately shop from harbor. There I bought quite amount of things. No, no. One was really nice (and expensive) one.

One can see the church of Niguliste. Which has been turned into a museum. Which was closed...

Eating!! Pepper-steak. Extremely much pepper. And then very tasting sauce. There were some rose peppers. Those were very lovely looking ones. Not tasting so strongly.

Here is my eating-place. Okay, mostly that place was interested bringing beer to thirsty (mostly Finnish) tourists.

After the eating: art gallery. And I had to go up those stairs. No fun!!

Then a few pictures from the gallery. I took a graphic of cat, naturally. That comes to my cat wall.

Everything looks really classy there. But when one goes closer, the sorry truth becomes clear.

Here is Mere-centrum. And they have quite liberal feeling about copyright-laws. The biggest place is naturally Mustamäki...
